ABOUT US
Saxlingham Hall is registered with the Commission for Social Care Inspection and have been awarded an "excellent" standard of care. We can provide both short and long-term nursing care for up to 41 elderly people. It is a magnificent manor house set in over four acres of carefully tended lawns and gardens. The house was formerly used by the Red Cross during the Second World War and converted into a nursing home in 1952. It has been under the same ownership since 1980.
WHAT WE PROVIDE
Saxlingham Hall Nursing Home has a dedicated team of registered nurses and care assistances who have many years of experience of looking after the special needs of older people. Staff are trained to exceptionally high standards to ensure that all residents are cared for in a warm, friendly and professional manner.
Nursing care is provided on an individual basis and residents are encouraged to maintain their independence within a comfortable and homely environment.
ACCOMMODATION
Residents' rooms are arranged over two floors, which overlook the lawns, gardens and surrounding countryside. We can offer a selection of spacious single rooms with en-suite facilities or a choice of double rooms and double suites that are particularly suitable for couples. A single person who wishes to have the benefit of more personal space and larger facilities is welcome to occupy one of our double rooms for an enhanced fee. All rooms are equipped with a nurse call system, TV and telephone point. Individual telephone services can be provided on admission and are charged at a favourable rate.
SERVICES
We have two local GP practices who visit the home on a regular basis. Specialist healthcare practitioners regularly call at the home. We can also offer regular visit by a chiropodist and hairdresse. Activities provided by staff trained within the home include reminiscences and extended exercise classes.
